Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Howdy Campers and Alumni!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here! Sparkling snow is covering everything, and the nights are REALLY cold! We were looking for the Ghost of Florissant recently with that brilliant December moon! I think it was too cold for him to ride!
We are excited and working hard planning things for the 80th Anniversary of BMR! The first celebration will be on Friday, January 16th at Angelo’s BBQ in Fort Worth from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Click here to RSVP. Barbecue will be provided with a cash bar. We have this event in Fort Worth because that is where Coach Allen was from when he started the camp in 1946! So many of our alumni live there and hopefully you will all come. It’s very casual and just a chance to get together. We have several folks coming in from Oklahoma and maybe even some from Missouri! If you are anywhere near Fort Worth on that date, please come and join us!
We are showing camp movies and doing “meet ups” during this time too.

If you are close to any of these, please come and bring your friends to learn about BMR! If you would like to host the camp movies at your house, please contact Suzie or Tim at BMR. Tim is going to Mexico City in March to show movies!
Labor Day Weekend 2026 will be an ALL CAMP REUNION at the Ranch! More information to come, but save the date. People can arrive starting Friday, September 3rd and events will be held on Saturday and Sunday, with everyone leaving on Monday, September 6th. This will include a cook out at the Meadow and other fun activities. Mark your calendar now!
Lastly, please consider a donation to our BMR Legacy Fund this year in honor of our 80th anniversary. Donations provide scholarships for deserving children for a rich camp experience and in doing so create a fund to support ongoing projects. We strive to bring campers the joy of childhood in a rich educational setting and to develop the love of the natural environment through enriching outdoor experiences.
Donations may be made online HERE or by check to the Foundation at:

Thank you to all who have so generously supported us in the past. We are so very grateful.
We hope you have a warm and wonderful holiday season filled with frosty nights, hot chocolate (Luna likes whipped cream) and s’mores (Emerson has one every day whether he needs it or not). My grandchildren!
We send love from all of our family to yours and wishes for all the blessings of the season.
