Meet our Staff
Suzie Allen Graf, Owner
Suzie has been part of Blue Mountain Ranch for as long as she can remember! Growing up at camp and officially stepping into the Director role in 1972, she has dedicated her life to creating a place where kids can grow, learn, and have fun. A proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Suzie also earned her Teacher’s Certification from the University of Northern Colorado and a Paralegal Certification from the Institute for Paralegal Training in Philadelphia. Of all her accomplishments, her greatest joy has always been working with children and sharing the magic of camp.
Tim Graf, Director
Tim has been part of the Blue Mountain Ranch family for many years and brings his love of the outdoors to everything he does. A graduate of Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff with a degree in Recreation Management, Tim now works full time at the camp.
He and his wife, Sophie—a former counselor—were married in Colorado Springs and are proud parents to two wonderful daughters, Dorothy and Mae. When not working at camp or spending time with his family, enjoys sharing his passion for photography.
Coach Bob Graf, Owner
Bob brings a lifetime of experience, leadership, and heart to Blue Mountain Ranch. He served as the District Athletic/Activities Director for Woodland Park School District and also coached at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. One of his proudest achievements was leading his 1998 Wasson High School track team to win the Colorado State 5A Boys’ Championship. A graduate of the University of Northern Colorado with a Master’s in Special Education from Adams State College, Bob is known not only for his strong leadership but also for the genuine care he shows his athletes—and, of course, his unforgettable storytelling.
David Graf, Director
David has deep roots at Blue Mountain Ranch and a big love for the outdoors. A graduate of The University of the South in Sewanee, TN, and the University of Phoenix graduate program, David has spent many summers leading hiking, climbing, and rappelling adventures at camp.
He and his wife, Liz—a former counselor—were married here in 2009 and now have three wonderful kids: Harper, Emerson, and Luna. When camp isn’t in session, David focuses his energy on improving education across the state of Colorado.
Laura Geyer, Camp Nurse
Laura has been caring for campers at Blue Mountain Ranch for more than 20 years—and for the past several years, she’s served as our amazing head nurse. Before joining us, she worked at the Oklahoma University Medical Center and the Oklahoma City Children’s Hospital Emergency Room, where she not only honed her skills but also recruited wonderful nurses like Chad and Carrie Sommer, who have now been part of BMR for over a decade.
The daughter of a doctor, Laura seemed destined to become a nurse, and her love for working with young people made Blue Mountain Ranch the perfect place for her. Many of her own nieces and nephews have attended camp over the years, making BMR feel like home in more ways than one. After moving here from Oklahoma, she’s now proud to call Colorado home—and we’re lucky to have her as part of our camp family.
