Join Our Counselor Team
at Blue Mountain Ranch

Are you looking for a summer job that’s more than just a job? At Blue Mountain Ranch, being a counselor means becoming a mentor, role model, and friend to campers who will remember you for years to come.

Our staff is made up of college-age students and graduates who bring enthusiasm, leadership, and a love for working with kids. You’ll teach skills, lead activities, and inspire campers in an environment that values fun, growth, and connection. If you have talents in sports, arts, outdoor skills, or aquatics, we’ll place you where you can shine. Some areas require certification, but training is provided.

With a counselor-to-camper ratio of 1 to 6, you’ll build meaningful relationships and truly impact your campers’ lives. Camp is a place where kids can relax and be themselves, and counselors support and encourage them every step of the way.

Counselors also work toward observable leadership and performance outcomes that help guide growth in responsibility, communication, teamwork, and camper care. Please review our Observable Outcomes before applying.

Before you submit your application, please read our Staff Policies and Procedures. They help ensure a safe, supportive environment for both campers and staff. Working at camp is a significant responsibility—you step into the role of an adult leader for the summer. Our policies are not extensive, but they are essential. If you cannot meet these expectations, we ask that you refrain from applying.

Being part of the Blue Mountain Ranch team also means unforgettable memories, lifelong friendships, and the chance to spend your summer in the beautiful Colorado mountains. If you’re ready for meaningful work, laughter-filled days, and a summer you’ll never forget, we’d love for you to apply.
