BMR Give for a giveaway
We’re so excited to announce our big BMR Give for a Giveaway! We’re ramping up our fundraising efforts by giving back to YOU, our donors. For each $71 donation increment (for BMR’s 71st summer), you will receive an entry to win ONE WEEK AT CAMP for a child!! That’s a $1050 value! So it works like this - for every $71 increment you donate, you will receive ONE entry into the giveaway. So if you give $142, you will get 2 entries, a $213 donation receives 3 entries, and so on.
The BMR Give for a Giveaway will start on April 17th and the drawing will be held on April 30th! And of course there’ll be a bit of competition between decades, just like last year! Who can beat the reigning champs, the 80’s kids?
Blue Mountain Ranch strives to bring campers the joy of childhood in a rich and education setting, to develop the love of the natural environment through outdoor experiences and to increase the child's awareness of others through non-competitive cooperative living. The funds that are raised are used to provide scholarships to deserving children.

Testimonials
As a former camper and parent of campers/counselors, I cannot recommend highly enough sending your children to BMR. The reasons are endless: wonderful, loving, family-owners/operators; magnificent setting nestled in the Pike National Forest; escape from the concrete, technology trances and rushed life of school and the city to a serene spot with plenty to do, but with time to just sit, reflect, slow down and engage; opportunities to learn and grow through activities that conquer fears, build confidence, teach patience, and nurture friendships; and have you heard about the food?! The list could go on and on.
The BMR Legacy Fund makes it possible for children that could not afford this experience to have it. It is an invaluable gift that you can give to these children. I encourage you to donate generously to this fund and provide a wonderful, meaningful and personal growth-filled summer for youth in need. Thank you in advance

So, knowing that Suzie is embarking on a Capital Fundraising campaign to facilitate improvements with camp's physical plant, I would like to directly reach out to you and ask for your assistance and financial gifts toward that end.
Please join me in giving to the place that has given so much, to so many, for so long. I remember my days at BMR with the greatest fondness and have every intent to see my own children share the legacy of self-discovery that only an awesome, loving, family camp can really provide. I would rather pay for summer camp than college, it is just that awesome for a child's development. I want to linger ... a little longer. ...

I am writing to tell my Blue Mountain story in the hopes that it will encourage you to join me in supporting Bob, Suzie and the boys to keep the "Blue Mountain" dream alive and well for the next generation of campers.
Sure, there are a lot fancier camps. But there is just something special about that little place nestled under the Blue Mountain. Bill and Dorothy Allen had this vision for just such a place for kids to be kids - not to be herded around from one station to the next, but just a place to relax without a care in the world.
But now, Blue Mountain needs our help. BMR was never about making money. The Allen's and now the Grafs have dedicated much of their lives to keep the camp going strong and staying true to its history. And running a camp now is not like it was 40 years ago - so many rules and requirements that must be met now, all costing more money than you would think. The Grafs would like to re-open Beaver Lodge (remember skit night?), the stables and ropes course are in need of upgrading. The problem is that a tremendous amount of money has been spent maintaining an aging infrastructure, attending to unexpected fees, leaving little for the more visible things that were hoped for.
So, I hope you will join me in opening up your wallets to help out the wonder of our youths and make sure it's there for generations to come.
